Pig kidneys for dissection — packed, labelled and frozen for convenience. These include the ureter, renal vein and artery. Note, each has a health inspection cut performed at the abattoir, so it is not possible to offer totally intact kidneys. Reputable, sustainable and ethically sourced, offering rich hands-on learning experiences.
Note, frozen kidneys are best used within a month or two.

Function: Kidneys regulate fluid levels and composition in the blood and body — preventing blood from becoming too dilute or concentrated (called osmolarity control), filtering wastes from the blood, and regulating fluid ion composition and pH levels — thereby maintaining a homeostatic balance.
